PHOTOSHOP: chipmunks

I got a picture of some random skater things and put Alvin and the Chipmunks because they wanted to be there.

PHOTOSHOP: HSM

For this photo, I took one of my photos and the cast of HSM and put my head over one of the characters so it would like I was one of them. I did this by using Layer Mask and then using the paintbrush to erase things. Then I added text and put "HSM."

PHOTOSHOP: Layer Mask

First I uploaded a picture of a shark and then a picture of me on Adobe Photoshop. Then I resized both of my images by going to Image: Image Size. Then I used the Move Tool and moved the picture of me and to the mouth of the shark. Then I created another layer and used the history brush to erase the unnessary parts of my photo. Finally, I used the blur tool and blurred all of the edges to make it look like my head was really in the sharks mouth. Then I was left with this really epic looking picture.

Photoshop: Magnetic Lasso

First, I uploaded a picture of a shoe, my legit shoe, and put it up on Adobe Photoshop. Then I added another layer and called it background. I went to magnetic lasso and went around my shoe. Then I went to Select: Inverse and Edit: Cut. Next, I went to the background layer and changed it to a light blue. Then I had to use the Blur Tool and go around the shoe and blue some of the edges so it wouldn't look like it was sitting on top of the background. Then I went to the Horizontal Text Tool and typed the word "Vans" and I changed the font and the color.

PHOTOSHOP: Feathered

First, I uploaded this picture of Freddy Kreuger into Adobe Photoshop. Then I selected the picture using the "Rectangular Marquee Tool" and I made sure the Feather was at 20px. Next, I went to Select: Inverse and Edit: Cut. Then I repeated this process for two more times until I was satisfied with the edges.

PHOTOSHOP: Combination

First I uploaded a picture into Adobe Photoshop. Then I to the vertical type tool and I typed "Danielle" vertically on the far left side on my photo. Then I changed the font and the color of the text. Next, I went to Filter: Stylize: Tiles and I made sure the layer with my photo was selected, and it made my picture into a whole bunch of tiles. Finally, I went to the Rectanglular Marquee Tool and I selected my picture. Then I changed the "Feather" to 20px and I went to Select: Inverse and Edit: Cut. Then it feathered the edges and then I did this process two more times until I was satisfied.

ILLUSTRATOR: Logo

My logo is based on a future design of my company. The company is Danielle Rules and it would be a skater company. The company would have skate boards, long boards, skinny jeans, shoes, basically anything that skateboaders need. I made this by using stars and rectangles on Adobe Illustrator. Then I typed "D" and "R" and put the letters on top of each other. Then I picked some cool colors that would go together and I ended up with this wicked logo.

Within my flyer design I used different elements of design. I used different lines and I changed the color and thickness of the lines to make them stand out. I used complementary colors like orange and blue. I also used all three of the primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. I used a lot of different shapes like stars, rectangles, circles, and polygons to make my pictures. The last element of design that I used was space. My main focal point was the talent show and then I arranged things around the word “talent show” to create good space. I used principles of designs as well. I used balance, which is the arrangement of the objects in a design according to their size. I used some repetition in my flyer as well. I constantly repeated stars since I was doing a talent show. Then I used the principle of emphasis/dominance. I used a lot of white space to draw the viewer’s attention to the word “talent show”.
I used many different skills from Adobe Illustrator to make this amazing flyer. One of the first things I used was combining shapes. I made three stars and then combined them together using “Pathfinder: add shapes.” Also, I made the magicians hat by combining a rectangle and the ellipse tool as well as the magician’s magic wand. Next, I used the skill text on a path. To make “RPHS PRESENTS:” curve, I made a circle and then used the tool text on a path to type along the path of the circle. Then I used text on a path to tell when and where the talent show was. I made a regular line and then used the tool text on a path to type along the path of the line. Then I rotated the line to a slant, so the text was slanted. Finally, I used the tool clipping mask. I found a picture of a night of stars using Google: images and then I put it on Adobe Illustrator. Then I used the Type Tool and clicked on the picture and typed “show me what you got.” Then I went to "Object: Clipping Mask: Make" and it left me with “show me what you got” with the night of stars picture within the text.
